Our Services
First Contact
Available 24/7 to provide immediate support and guidance
When someone dies, your first contact with us marks the beginning of our commitment to support you and your family through this difficult time. Our experienced team is available 24 hours a day, ready to provide immediate assistance and guidance with compassion and professionalism.
During this initial conversation, we'll gently gather essential information about your loved one, including their name, age, and location. We'll also note the Next of Kin details, which are necessary for proceeding with the funeral arrangements.
You're welcome to meet with us at our funeral home in Dudley Road, Fort William, or if you prefer, we can come to your home. Our team will guide you through all available funeral options, including burial or cremation choices, religious or humanist/celebrant services, and whether you'd prefer a private funeral or a public celebration of life.
Registration of Death
In Scotland, a death must be registered within 8 days of death and the funeral cannot take place until the death has been registered.
An appointment should be made to register the death. The certificate of cause of death will be sent to the registrar by the doctor or medical staff.
At the interview you will need the birth certificate for the deceased, any marriage or civil partnership certificates, the deceased medical card or National Health Service number from their medical practice.
The Registrar will then issue a certificate of registration of death or Form 14 which is also sent to our company. You will also receive a Form BD8 to inform the Department of Work and Pensions about the death. Finally, you will be given a copy of the death Certificate.
Our staff will provide a copy of the Form 14 to the Cemetery owners or Crematoria so that we can proceed with the funeral arrangements with them. At the same time, we will need to complete the application forms for Burial or Cremation with the NOK/Applicant.

Review of the Deceased
Often in the event of a sudden or unexplained death the deceased will be referred to the Procurator Fiscal's Office for Review.
In this case, the police-contracted agents, shall take the deceased to the Hospital Mortuary (Raigmore Hospital, Inverness) for a Post-Mortem review.
Our staff shall keep you informed of this process as it continues until such time as your loved one is back into our care.
